Bookish Food (1) To All The Boys I've Loved Before and P.S. I Still Love You

So, I was really hungry last night and I started thinking about books and food. So I thought: I like books, I like food, why not combine them and then this happened. I looked around the blogosphere to see if I could find anything like this (I didn't want to copy anyone and not credit them) but I didn't. So I'm gonna do it! This may be the most pointless feature ever, because its literally going to be nothing more then pictures of food mentioned in books. But as I said I like food pictures, I like books, so I'm going to post these food pictures (that will link back to their owners websites/recipes when you click them).

I'll be starting this feature with some food from Jenny Han books!
TATBILB and PSISLY both are very food and dessert heavy, and they both made me extremelyyy hungry.

Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup
(Heres some quotes to accompany the food pictures!!)

"We have so many traditions here. The three of us [Lara Jean, Margot and Peter] would get two grilled-cheese sandwiches and cut them up into squares, and we'd order a bowl of tomato soup to dip the squares in"

"I stop so I can bite into my grilled cheese while it's still oozy"

Lara Jean is also a big fan of Cherry Coke. I, personally do not like cherry flavored things, but Lara Jean does!

Lara Jean's Christmas Cookie Bonanza
Lara Jean's Christmas Cookie Bonanza was extremely memorable. Like, cookies, lots and lots of cookies. How could I forget that?

"Kitty keeps a list of which cookies we're definitely doing and which ones we're maybe doing. There are a few perennials. My dad loves pecan crescents, so those are a must. Sugar cookies, because those are a given. Snickerdoodles for Kitty, molasses cookies for Margot, cowgirl cookies for me"
Peter's Fruitcake Cookies
Pecan Crescents

Cowgirl Cookies
Molasses Cookies
Is this feature slightly pointless? Yes, but, food pictures! (You may be thinking, someone needs to stop this girl and her irrelevant food pictures, but oh well.)
Thats it for this weeks Bookish Food!

  1. Oh boy, I'm already slightly bit hungrier than I was 3 minutes ago and it's all because of those cookies. Mmm, sounds like a mighty fun thing to do!

  2. This feature is so cute, Sam! I still really need to read TO ALL THE BOYS I'VE LOVED BEFORE, since I hear so many good things all the time! Grilled cheese & tomato soup together are to die for!! I'm obsessed. And those cowgirl cookies don't look bad, either. :)

    1. Thank you! I thought it would be really stupid haha but like I said a million times FOOD PICTURES! You don't even have to have read the books to enjoy this stuff, the only thing is needing to like food pictures.

  4. HAHA YES SAM, BOOKS AND FOOD ARE THE BEST. (Just wanted to let you know that My Not So Real Life did something similar to this) I love this duology and part of that is because of the good food mentioned in it. Lara Jean bakes and that adds so much to the food that is mentioned. I also love the cultural food that is mentioned because Korean food is really really good. Great post! :)
